1. Who we are
This website, sandbanksferry.world (the "Sandbanks Ferry Information Guide"), is an independent informational resource. It is not the official website of the Sandbanks Ferry operator. The website administrator is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and can be contacted at:
Emerald, 13, 4142 RB Leerdam, NetherlandsPhone: +44 1267 281743
Email: [email protected]
2. Personal data we collect
When you use our contact form we collect your full name, email address, the subject and content of your message, your consent confirmation, and the date and time of submission. For security and spam prevention, our server may temporarily process your IP address. We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, payment card details or special category data.
3. Purpose of processing
We use this data only to read and respond to your enquiry, to keep a record of correspondence, and to protect the website against spam and abuse.
4. Legal bases
Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) to process contact form data and on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the website secure. Optional cookies are used only with your consent.
5. Email communication
Contact form submissions are delivered to our administrator mailbox by a transactional email provider. We reply from our administrator email address. We will not send you marketing emails.
6. Data retention
We keep contact correspondence for up to 12 months after our last exchange, unless a longer period is required to deal with a legal claim. Temporary security data such as IP-based rate-limit records are deleted within 24 hours.
7. Data security
The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Email service credentials are stored on the server and never exposed in the browser. Access to correspondence is limited to the administrator.
8. Third-party service providers
We use carefully selected processors to operate the site: our web hosting provider and a transactional email provider (such as Resend) to deliver contact form messages. These providers process data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
9. Cookies and analytics
We store your cookie consent choice in your browser. At present no analytics or marketing cookies are set. If such tools are introduced, they will only run after you give consent. See our Cookie Policy.
10. International data transfers
Some service providers, including email delivery providers, may process data outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable) or Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, and in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
12. Privacy requests
To exercise your rights, email [email protected] or write to the address above. We aim to respond within one month.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
